Description

This easy beef lo mein recipe brings together tender beef and colorful vegetables in a savory sauce, all in just 30 minutes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

8 ounces lo mein noodles

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 cups mixed bell peppers, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

3 green onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/4 cup water

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling water, cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the mixed bell peppers, broccoli, green onions, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Combine Everything: Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add Noodles: Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until the noodles are heated through and well coated with the sauce. Cook for 1-2 more minutes.

Serve: Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute any vegetables you have on hand. For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes. This dish is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
